Gritty, authentic & highly engaging Liverpudlian drama. Martin Freeman is brilliant in the role of, an understandably struggling, veteran police officer balancing career and family responsibilities. High calibre script writing, casting & acting.

Not a mad Elvis fan, but a fan in general of musical biopics. The music was great, as was the lead in his role. I particularly enjoyed the initial, coming of age part of the story - Elvis as a poor, white boy mesmerised by the lure of the incredible gospel singing and blues in Memphis. For me, the final 30 minutes was somewhat laboured, and detracted a little from the film. A remarkable life story nonetheless.
