I love historical fiction..this book is amazing. The main character is a midwife living during the post revolutionary war. During this time all medical personnel is male, with little to no actual training in dealing with birthing.....thank God for the midwife. All the while she also has a loving supportive husband and gives birth to nine children . One adventure after another. Totally enjoyed this book.
