I've seen this film many many many times and it always fills my soul with glee! The music is classic and vibrant and ageless! The musicians the BEST ever! The choreography is outstanding! Pure comedy! A GREAT sequel (17 years later) to Blues Brothers. John Goodman does not disappoint. Sexy man! And Dan? Such a great soul. Loved every second although I must admit I fast forwarded through the car chase scenes. Why isn't there a "Blues Brothers Musical"? On Broadway yet? All the ingredients are already there. Thank you John Landis and Dan Aykroyd! THANK YOU!

I have no idea why this movie got such mediocre reviews. This is an OUTSTANDING film!! It was captivating! What a journey. A series of mishaps, no fault of Bernadette, nevertheless leads other to misunderstand her, including the perceptions of her husband. Everyone, with the exception of her daughter, misjudges her. Her daughter deeply knows the goodness and true essence of her mother. It is never a good idea to assume anything about anyone even if you know them well. Right? Try to hold them in the best possible light. She goes on a journey to Antarctica to join her husband and daughter and they fail to meet up at first, so Bernadette ventures out on her own in search of them. The kayak scene is priceless. The people she meets on this journey value her in a way that she needs. She realizes that she needs to be creative again in order to truly live again. It is then that she gets an opportunity of a lifetime. Happy Happy ending! If you are mainstream and like shoot them dead films, this is not for you. If you are off the bell curve and appreciate intelligent cinema, this is something you'll truly enjoy! I
