I don’t typically write reviews because movies I truly enjoy might not resonate the same for others but seeing that this a sequel to one of my favorite movie of all times, I’ve decided to write down my thoughts. The original Matrix was and is still the best. It had deep character develop, unique story line, action packed, and visually beautiful. Matrix reloaded was tolerable and Matrix Reloaded was dismal. Now onto Resurrection. I get that the movie was nostalgic and paid a huge tribute to the love between Neo and Trinity. However - it felt so rushed. It could have been better if the new characters were weaved more carefully into the story line. Instead, what you get is a bunch of unknowns fighting alongside Neo for a reason I probably have to watch again carefully to understand why. Was it watchable? Yes. Was it good? Not really in my opinion. I can rewatch the original Matrix and still enjoy it immensely. I doubt I could do the same with this movie.
