3.5/5 - for a very stylish-looking film that serves plenty of desi/patriotic vibes! And Hrithik has reinvented himself as an actor in this one (ultimate redemption for his MPKDH days - if you are one of his oldest fans like me, you'll know what I mean). He is brilliant in emotional scenes. An extra star JUST for that.

Must-watch thriller worth watching on the big screen because you'll be sucked RIGHT in. It checks all the boxes : 1) gripping story (based on Le Monte-charge, a French novel) 2) awesome performances by not just the leads, but by everyone in the movie 3) visually appealing - the xmas theme and colours are captured SO beautifully in every frame! 4) music/BGM which crescendoes perfectly and made each scene more enjoyable.

The doll and its world are just a means to talk about: - Growing up/growing old - The battle of the sexes - Nostalgia - Mother-daughter relationships (And other things someone sharper might catch) It's not a typical movie or even a kids' movie. Watch it if you like meaningful stories delivered with creatively used yet obvious silliness. And watch it for Ryan Gosling. He is the reason Ken will never be Just Ken anymore.
