I loved the show at first. I was actually binge watching it. But slowly they removed characters. First it was Father Peter & Assumpta, & they were 2 of the main characters I loved. A few new characters were introduced & I rather liked them, such as Danny & the Dillons. Ambrose Egan (Peter Hanly) was killed off, then Eamon ( Birdie Sweeney) actually died & not long after, Brian (Tony Doyle) died. Then Niemh left the show. After that I started to lose interest & could see why the show got cancelled. There were a few characters left that were originals, who I really liked but the story line went south, and they just became fill ins. The new characters were taking over the whole show & I finally gave up watching at the end of season 5. I really hate it when a new series comes on & the actors leave mid show to follow a different path as some had done. The Dooley's who took over the bar didn't fit in. The kids were spoiled brats learning to be ex cons like their daddy. At first the show got a 5 from me, but by season 5 only a 3 and that is only due to the original actors from season 1. That being said, the original actors that stuck it out to the end get a 5.
