It is bloody funny comedy, with good action, quite artistic and refreshing. Despite the gore, it is quite a light-hearted comic-like comedy. The CGI is decent, the action scenes are nice, with good stunts, martial arts and some new ideas. Good sound track. If you like Tarantino movies, or the Guardians of the galaxy or Dead pool, this is a movie for you. Brad Pit as the lucky ladybug is a fitting cast. This is of course also a movie, where movie reviewers can show off how much ``taste" they have by bashing it as a ``brainless action movie" Fortunately, these humorless critics do not have to sell movies. They just don't get it, what it means to have just fun, without having to overthink everything or having to educate the world about some political or social issue. Yes, it is not a movie for the brain, but that is exactly the point.

Don't listen to the movie critics who want to elevate their own standing by trashing this movie with words like ``kitsch" or ``schmaltz". Let these critics rot in their own depressive attitude. Some of them probably did not even bother to see the movie. Their arguments would also trash seemingly cheap stories like the Jane Austin treasures. This is a nice movie and actually quite original. Uplifting movies are especially valuable in these depressive pandemic days. From the outside, it looks like a cheap ``groschen roman" (pretty fraternity girl falls in love with gorgeous bull rider), but the story is well crafted. There is a beautiful romance within the main story (the story of Ruth and Ira). The actors Britt Robertson and Scott Eastwood as well as Jack Huston and Oana Chaplin in the inside story both display good chemistry and convincingly display to the audience that one can have passion for sport or passion for art or passion for a stranger who has had an accident. If you want to see a ``feel good" movie in which also some deeper basic questions come up (what is the value of sports, what is the value of art, what is the value of family, what is the value of compassion, what is the value of love), then watch this movie.

I like movies in which math or computer science come in. This despite the fact that the story lines are mostly total non-sense. It is almost by default that any movie with computer science content is ludicrous to a certain degree. A story in which a high school student can in a night read and fix the code of an already developed game and add additional parts and then that a handful of people build a game demo in a couple of days is something one must accept as Hollywood nonsense [just as a comparison, large computer game companies have 10000 (electronic arts) or 18000 (ubisoft) employees]. One has to be fair however: we also do not question fairy tales, fantasy movies spy movies, science fiction or time travel nonsense. It is part of the deal to be completely off with reality. I found this movie still entertaining, despite the nonsense. Missing was something original. Some older hacker movies had such little bits built in. Like in "War games 1983", where the speech synthesiser was cool or then "Hackers 1995) where at least a few Unix literature appeared or "Traveling salesmen 2012) where one has consulted at least with some computer scientists. Or "Sneakers 1992), where one has consulted with some mathematicians (number field). There is really nothing original in this movie. Even the idea of having the player modify and extend the world is very old (I played such a game "Continuum" on the earliest Macintosh computers already).

A feel good movie. Nice for kids. No risks were taken when creating this film, a film written by committee, and making sure that it is right for everybody. One misses the more creative days at Dreamworks like `Shrek` or `How to train your dragon`. but maybe it is smart now to have a safe, smooth `dreamy" movie, right after a traumatic year for many kids. A great movie to ``lift your spirits" when feeling a bit down.
