TRULY A HEARTSTOPPER!!!! :D The 'Heartstopper' web series is a truly refreshing watch! Charlie (played by Joe Locke), is such an adorable, wholesome character. The way Charile swoons over Nick, and the way he lights up eveytime over a simple, 'Hi' and the innonce in the smile of Charlie, just makes you go gaga over him! The maturity of Charlie in accepting others, just as they are, makes you wanna love him to the moon and back... The portryal of Nick Nelson (as played by Kit Connors), is what I liked the most. Charlie openly claimed his sexuality, however Nick was apprehensive, at least initially...And the gradual built up of confidence in him throughout the end of the series was empowering. I loved the fact that despite him being a 'popular jock', Nick was an actually kind, caring human being, who has empathy for others, and which broke the stereotypical beliefs about jocks rather nicely. All the friends of Charlie and Nick, as potrayed by their respective actors were also beautiully presented. The protective nature of Tao, the patient listening of Elle, the undercover relationship of Darcy and Immogen, and the bullying of Harry and Ben Hope; All the people added to the distictiveness of the story, and made it a relatable, and 'coming-of-age' series. I haven't read the novels. or had prior knowledge of this series. So, as a first timer, I would highly recommened this one, and by the end, I can guarantee that you would find your heart fluttering with joy!
