The setting of the story is the Summer of 1814, somewhere in England. Anne is narrating the story. The locations were stunning. Dakota Johnson is Anne, plain, simple, a lady of twenty and seven. Pretty good, informative and I was liking it so far, then entered Lady Russell.😳 The casting sucks. Netflix has a way of ruining a beautiful story in its entirety. I prefer watching the BBC's interpretation starring Amanda Root and Ciaran Hinds. The woke of Netflix struck again. The screenwriter should create own storey and not ride on the popularity of well established literary authors. To mess up a well loved storey based on #wokeness is a very unacceptable way of building a career in cinematic. I should have believed the reviews, my bad! #wokenesscausesbrokeness #gowokegobroke

If it was only I who watched it, it was acceptable. 8-year old: Grandma did you see those two girls kissing under a tree? I had to answer the question to explain. And the moment just ruined my day. Ok,now, movie makers must shun flashing their own principles and beliefs on their project. I understand, it is part of their world. Do they really have to groom others about it? #gowokegobroke
