I found this little gem just by surprise on Hulu and I am very pleased to watch something very different from the rest of what is being produced these days. I think this Director is very talented and has a bright future, you should be making much more better films in the future. It was a very unique experience even though it is disturbing and intense psychologically. Definitely a movie worth recommending to any good cinephile with a discerning taste.

It is a pure psychological dramatic thriller. It comes from a masterful filmmaker, I did enjoy it and was entertained Although a bit confused at times Mostly because of some of the English expressions from that time period & the accent. Of course the cinematography is outstanding and a pure delight to watch and the acting is first rate, Oscar worthy nominations in that department. The production design also stands out as it is impeccable and the music is also very good but it does sound like The soundtrack of the shape water. I think it’s a love letter to the Hollywood of the of the 1940s. It is an interesting story although it does get sad and depressing especially towards the end. Also I must say this is not a monster movie. If you want to see something different with great acting and beautiful visuals, go watch this if not there’s blockbusters on the other side.

The concept seems like it could have been developed into a great movie perhaps but it seems like they spent very little time writing, A very weak screenplay which means a very weak dialogue. Such a shame that the idea was not fully developed, also please next time make sure to have Full Spanish-speaking actors not somebody that pretends to speak Spanish it’s just very shameful. Anyways the movie was so bad and poorly written That I even walked out of the movie theater even though most of the time I stay just to see how a movie ends but this was unbearable. Sorry but please give it all you got
