Movie was incredibly cringe and lacked nuance and originality. Some of the “monster” designs were fun. Overall this is a cliche remaster of lord of the rings without the overarching plot. Characters were hardly likable and the plot forces you to sympathize with dead characters that were hardly written in. Took me 4 hours to finish, I had more fun on my phone Spoiler. When brute girl died and they sang… I have not seen a more forced cliche moment ever. The child’s face as she watched was 1/10 acting and overall that whole scene made me cringe so hard I popped a blood vessel.

Undeniably mid. Pacing is horrible. I watched for the zombies but ended up sitting through flashbacks of highschool drama for more than half the show. Most of the suspense never goes anywhere which leaves you feeling annoyed. The main character is incredibly unlikable after the first 5 minutes. Every character is so delusionally written all of their decisions make 0 sense. Don’t waste your time on it I’ve seen better adaptations.
