A fascinating look into an actor I never really followed - probably because of his bad press on sets. However, Mr. Kilmer let's us in on his own cinematic gems, while revealing a side we never see. It's easy to relate to his own short-temperedness with imperfection. I see that in myself. Being smart AND creative has its drawbacks that no one can really understand.
However, VAL conveys this beautifully; acting is who and what Val Kilmer is. The veil gets drawn back as I viewed footage of him interacting with his children. The sheer joy he exhibits when around them cannot be "acted." And for those scenes alone, it changed my mind about Mr. Kilmer.
Thanks for letting us take a peak. Us non-believers now love you for it.
