Please watch this show. It's a joy front to back. Two of my favourite comedy shows ever made are Community and Wet Hot American Summer and I love timey wimey multiverse stuff. This show somehow combined all of that into one basically perfect season of TV. The concepts of each episode are just mind-blowingly creative and clever, and it works through these non-trivial sci-fi plots all while delivering many, many, many incredible jokes and gags. It's seriously a miracle that all the cast and writers and directors and editors seem to have been on the exact same page in terms of the zany tone - you get this project that swings so boldly with its humour and the vision feels so impossibly undiluted. Aside from the comedy, there's a really strong focus on good characters and their dynamics, which they cleverly explore by plopping them into impossible contexts in different universes. The plot and lore is also mapped out super thoughtfully - there doesn't seem to be a weak point in this project. And can I just say props to Veronika Slowikowska. I think a huge reason a big portion of the jokes work so well is because her delivery is absolutely insane. I'm so glad they let her do her thing in this show, there's no one doing this kind of Kyle Mooney-adjacent thing right now. But really the whole cast consistently made me laugh. Would kill for another season, they laid some great groundwork. Congrats to everyone involved, I'll probably rewatch the whole thing a couple more times.
