Appreciated the research. I am a Shakespearean fan, whether or not the author was male or female. Consequently 3 stars for the effort there. However, I struggled to finish the tedious storyline, particularly the modern take. It made me feel depleted and sorry that I determinedly wasted hours reading this saga.

Read the one star reviews. As a whole I believe they are correct in describing this peculiar and long winded story. It's all about words! If someone asked what I was reading about my best answer would have to be "words".

I kept thinking about " to kill a mockingbird" but realise that the more modern turn of phrase combined with the expertise of the author should make this book more acceptable to the current readers and give an insight into American racism of the sixties at least. I think one of the best books written by David Baldacci.
