Loved the description of Alaska and the beauty of the state; especially before tourism took over. The relationships between the family and the Village are beautifully intertwined and explains how different values are important to people. This is a definite page turner and I stayed up way too late to finish the story. Well written and filled with a lot of history about what life was like in Alaska during the 70s.
