I’ll give season one 5 stars and season two 1 star so it averages out to 3 stars. Season 1 is heartwarming and cute. It’s a very realistic romcom that doesn’t only show happy endings but how to overcome the hardships and be a better version of you. It left me feeling good. Season 2 is like a completely different series. It’s got the same style but I don’t like the storyline. It’s so preachy. It’s all about BLM and racism. It portrays black people as the victims and white people as the villains. It really angered me and I didn’t finish watching the series. Pretend it’s only a single season series and enjoy the first one. Skip the second one if you don’t have time for woke racist bullsh*t.

You can’t give zero stars so here is one. I don’t know how this show got so many good reviews. Maybe those viewers were inebriated because it is truly a piece of garbage. I would liken it to a car crash - it’s so terrible but you don’t really want to stop watching. Finally after an episode and a half I decided that the time I was spending watching this show could be better spent watching my nails grow. If you want to watch, good luck.

This show should be called Bad Summer, not Black Summer. I didn’t pay anything to watch this series and I still want my money back. You spend most of the time watching the characters walking around doing nothing. Nothing makes sense - in the peak of the zombie apocalypse there are close to zero zombies. The characters are stupid (why do they have no trigger discipline, stand in front of guns and wave them around?). There’s no continuity - 1 instance is when Lance’s hand was bleeding - from what (?) - and 2 seconds later it was magically healed. The most profound thing any character said was that they took luggage. I can’t say anymore. I’m done. Don’t waste your life on this.
