Throughout the whole novel I was almost cursing the main character "how could he..!?" "Tch" "even I won't do that or think like that" But the last page bought a small and satisfying smile on my face. It was at that time when I re think about the whole story. I didn't wanted to re-edit anything.maybe I disliked that event at that page but ending surely changed my mind and made me connect to lead character a bit more. Everything was so perfect in this story. .Specially the slow character development of lead character made it so realistic. This novel touched many harsh realities like life in Afghanistan ofcourse, as the whole story revolves around that but there were other topics too like rape, child trafficking , poverty ,some unnecessary muslim rules , persuing dream by fighting against the stereotype and much more. So long story short it is one of my favourite novel now...

Alchemist is surely a best motivating novel I ever read. This is about how universe helps us to realise our destiny. Everything in this world has a destiny to fulfill. As story says that 'the universe conspires to help us when we desire something'. All we have to do is follow our hearts. This book talked about a language that everyone and everything in this world speaks. Paulo Coelho explained it in this book. I'm a slow learner but still I got the idea about this and I will surely practice and learn it. I loved the 'alchemist' character more than the lead character. He resembles 'Krishna' from 'bhagavat geeta' ,a Hindu lord. alchemist guides shepherd just as Krishna guides Arjuna. And each n every line that he said was a big statement for me.. a line I highlighted to read for motivation. The last page was shocking and it took me a whole day to overcome that and read the prologue,which was a relief. The story was so meaningful. Simple yet too complex, which totally depends on the pov. I will definitely read it again.

(so first of all.. English is not my first language but I'm trying it so ignore grammatical mistakes) I always wondered ,what happened in reality in those times... Came to some conclusions by myself.. which were quite easy to guess. I'm really grateful to Amish Tripathi for explaining most of those things with science. I really loved this novel series, the way it described Shiva as a normal human with character development. How he turned into living God.. and i rarely like love stories but Shiva-sati's bond melted me so badly .. they made me smile, giggle &cry. Although I can make some complaint, About Kali character, she deserved more.. so does Ganesh ..and Kartik was like too good to be true but it's understandable as he had sati and shiva's gene.. but overall I loved every character and the book.. I'm eagerly waiting for the Mahabharat series...
