Halloween Ends--I genuinely hope so this time. I am a long time fan of the Halloween franchise, and not to sound basic or anything but Michael Myers is my favorite slasher villain. The idea of exploring Michael Myers's successor is an interesting concept in theory, but it should have been explored over multiple films (like in the Saw franchise) instead of being condensed into a melodramatic edgelord romance subplot at the end of a trilogy that declined in quality as it went on. Michael Myers is nothing but a cameo in his own movie, and is portrayed as week despite literally killing probably hundreds of people in the preceding Halloween Kills. I genuinely have no clue why they decided to establish this weird cringe Veronica Sawyer and JD romance arc (referring to cult classic Heathers) in the final film, and honestly I'm so confused as to why this movie was even made. Remake it and actually make it about the characters that people care about.
