An excellent read. The author calls on her experiences as a British expat in Saudi Arabia so well that the reader can really feel the cultural dislocation and can imagine all the sensory input of actually being there. It is eye-opening. The fictional component, about losing a child and the long and difficult search for her, is quite gripping. The story moves along well, to an ending that is unexpected but satisfying. Highly recommended.
