Bale, Crowe, and supporting cast superb. Beautiful cinematography. If you know someone that doesn't like Westerns, this is the movie that can win them over. Highly recommend!

Good plot. True to the original. Good acting. Highly recommended.

Interesting beginning, but plot has a lot of holes in it. Human trafficking is sad and real. But this movie was just sad and unbelievable. Gets two stars because of Reynolds, without him doesn't deserve a star. Could of been a good story, with a coherent screen play, and some decent acting. The macho cop subplot was ridiculous. Surprised Reynolds signed up for this!

Groundbreaking movie. Genius multilayered plot! Perfect performance by Jake Gyllenhaal. Should be shown at film schools on what to strive for. A masterpiece in my opinion. So many movies try to be deep, cool, hip, and Sundance, and fail, or get praise for just being wierd. " Donnie Darko " is a puzzle within a puzzle, within a puzzle. Like taking a Physics test on acid.

Liked it. Murray was great. Supporting cast too.

Predictable. Unrealistic. But the quirkiness of the straight forward plot, and the overacting gives a noir feel of a fun "B" movie.

Good story with a twist. A lot of good actors, early in their careers.

Sandler was good. Poor character development. Story drags on. The repetitive self destruction is monotonous. I like movies that try to be different, and groundbreaking. But this one tried too hard, and didn't bring it. The mystical stuff was just silly. Plot was predictable, and boring. Would love to see more breakthroughs like " Donnie Darko " Uncut Gems wasn't close.

Shows the hopelessness, and struggle. Great acting.
