Not only was this novel beautifully illustrated, but the writing swept me out of this world and put me right into the Other Forest. I could feel Olivia's emotions evolve as she progressed on this unexpected adventure. Danielle Koehler does an amazing job of describing Chilean culture in such a fun and beautiful way. More importantly though, she explores grief in an approachable and child-friendly manner. My 5 year old niece loved it! I loved it!
