First thing i noticed was that the camera work for the tokyo-professor encounter felt flat as well as the non-dialogue scene of professor while waiting for the gang to enter the mint. It didnt seem too interesting as it should’ve been. Second was the pacing. For some reason it felt too fast or I felt something was missing. Third professor lacks the mannerisms and charisma. El professor has this niche for making the scene interesting by showing you his intelligence whilst talking or simply by just being in the frame;“Exacto” grew on me, while the Korean Professor counterpart has a lack thereof. Fourth was the flashbacks. For me, the most interesting part of money heist was professor’s class—the planning part of the heist; the flashbacks of how the plan was thought of, which i think was missing at the first few episodes.
Anyway, i think they had great cast on board flavored with their own twist storywise to fit the context. Notwithstanding my observations, i still would want this series to continue and should it be, shall it improve.
Edit:
Oof i forgot about the narration. The korean adaptation barely has the Tokyo narration that flavors the scene; i also think that this part makes the scene more personal by being able to connect with the viewers by sharing thoughts about what’s going inside the robber’s head—and thus, should have been added in the adaptation. But anyway, to each his own.
