This game is super fun, the developers continue releasing free content updates and patches on a fairly regular basis, and it has a hype-worthy roadmap ahead of it still. Overall the aesthetic and style of this game is amazing, it has reasonable challenge, sometimes pretty punishing, that pushes you to get good. I appreciate the pace of progression. Some people have beef with it bc they preferred the first one for various reasons. I understand where they're coming from, the structure of the main gameplay in this is not the same, and there are aspects of this game that aren't as brutal and permanent. But with all the improvements they've already made to the game since the initial early access release, it is leaps and bounds better in soo many regards. You're better off judging it on its own merits. And I'm rly looking forward to the big new game mode coming, I think that may end up addressing a lot of the concerns that lovers of the 1st game felt was missing.
