Truly awful remake. Wanted to leave after 5 mins but stayed to end. It didn't get any better. Remakes are difficult especially if you are fond of the original. Sadly this was not good. The soundtrack should have helped (it is a good one) but mostly the track placement was clichéd & predictable). The special effects were good but lacked a John Wick type originality - we know there's only a certain number of ways to stab someone but it got predictable/repetitive. The script was average but needed something to get it over the line (which was lacking). The acting was OK but, well... actually no it really wasn't. I genuinely wanted to like this lump, but I wish it'd just been a rerelease of the original which although not brilliant was a whole heap better than this.
