I don't know why but I'm not exactly feeling the chemistry between the two characters. I can relate to a lot of female leads and their charms in other dramas but I'm missing the charm factor of this female lead. She seems a bit melancholic in nature, nurturing, naive, and a bit boring. Aside from the preshow picture of her bright cheerful smile, that was probably the most attractive energy I felt from her character. I guess it's because I find her character to be a bit melancholic and too naive. I get the charms of the 2nd female bird spirit lead. She's got some charm and plays an overly chatty but fun spirited character. I just felt like the main lead, Dragon King fell for main female lead too quickly without me the viewer feeling the same affection build up by learning about both charms of the characters as they do in other series. I can't say the silent role exactly fits the 2nd male lead either. He's handsome and looks stellar but yet, I'm feeling the same feeling which is that this is kinda boring. He plays a much better good guy than bad guy. Honestly, I find this series kind of boring. Fast Foward button used to get the gist of the story. This was a no go for me because I am not buying into the chemistry. Dylan had some funny scenes and good scenes and some wow wow muscular scenes but I guess I'm not buying into the love between all the characters. Maybe it is yet to grow but I'm already on episode nine and I fought to get there. Their definitely was some beautiful scenes but I feel like character development from female lead and 2nd male lead was lacking so it wasn't exactly something I could really fall deep into. Scenes and characters look pretty. I liked the time stop wedding scene. That was slightly romantic and interesting but overall, nah. It's a no go for me because I feel like I needed to believe and understand why Dragon King is so deeply in love with this woman when I couldn't. I guess it's not enough to just say ok, she's a nurturing and healed him from a bad dragon situation and now he's in love with her. To be frank, I really needed to see some charms and say OK, I get it. That's why he's so deeply into her. But to be honest, I couldn't. She plays a "nice" person but I'm thinking there must be more right? I as a viewer need to buy into her charms and understand the viewpoint of the dragonking but to be frank, I just found her character to be melancholic and a bit boring. Dylan was good at being an attractive lead but the energy overall didn't fly. Like the energy between the two leads has to be so strong that even offscreen and not being actors, I could believe there is a really something there but I don't buy it one bit here.
