Not sure why this movie got mixed reviews. Watching this was like watching the 1941 classic but in full color and at its best, and with a great plot twist. I always felt like the classic movie’s plot fell a bit short, but this version fills the gaps.

What a masterpiece. Can’t believe it took this long to make something this great. Best since the 1931 classic. Everything else has been either okay or terrible. The costume design, cinematography, cast, and plot in this series were absolutely perfect. They really picked the most interesting parts of the novel for the first two episodes, each with a masterful twist. The final episode expands on the original story quite perfectly as well, wow.
