It’s just a video game fetchquest wrapped in marvel humour. I’m sure it has some appeal in reference humour for people who actually play d&d, but for casual viewers it is barely a movie. No character development, and the plot is just a series of exposition dumps. Some of the effects and visuals are fun, but that’s pretty much it.
