There used to be a time where I kinda liked this movie but I stopped liking it when I got older and here's why: 1. This movie made Alvin the worst character in this movie, based on annoying, uninteresting, and unsympathetic he is compared to the cartoon version. 2. Dave is pretty much a jerk in this movie even though I feel sympathy for him at least. 3. Alvin's backstory is completely made up and false which Alvin isn't sad. 4. Most of the songs are covers and are unbearable to listen to. 5. Dave has a girlfriend which he had no love interests in the show which is pretty pointless. 6. Constant potty humor. 7. All of the Chipmunks are naughty instead of just Alvin. 8. Some things that just aren't explained, for example the Chipmunks are stagefright yet later in the movie they're not even nervous or anything when they're on stage. 9. The acting and writing is overall terrible.

One of the worst movies I have seen so far, the crude potty humour was too much. The songs were very annoying and catchy, especially the performance almost at the end of the movie. Also the design on Alvin is terrible compared to Chipwrecked, considering the fact that his face keeps changing every second and in every single shot. What's funny is that this movie came out 4 years after Chipwrecked was released. The stepbrother Miles was possibly one of the worst parts of the movie, considering the fact that he bullied Alvin and his brothers and yet never apologized to them and yet Alvin and his brothers had to do the apologizing, which made absolutely no sense. Besides this seemed like a movie just for kids (based on the crude humour), instead of both kids and adults.
