I would rate the show a zero if I could. All the people commenting who are loving the couple because they were on Teen Mom, and are giving them good ratings for this design show because they liked them on Teen Moms? This is a design show people, and the DeBoers as cute and nice as they may be, are NOT designers, and it not only shows, it SCREAMS. Shame on this couple for trying to fool people that they are good home designers and shame on HGTV for allowing them a platform to provide the very worst advice on the most valuable investment most people will ever have, their home. Chelsea is pretty but has no design education, no experience, and no talent. They both make very rookie mistakes that any talented real designer would NEVER do. One example is when Chelsea picks a sample wallpaper of a black and white chevron pattern that she thinks will look FABULOUS! The 5 of us who happened to be watching the show together (2 of whom are real designers) just cringed and thought "Oh No! That is going to look awful". But Chelsea ordered and received the wallpaper and then when she held it up to the wall, decided that "no, this won't work, it is way too busy". A qualified designer would have never even considered that as an option. And Chelsea herself admits that she is figuring things out as she goes. What? And you have the nerve to sit on your sofa and call yourself "the designer", just because you blogged about picking out finishes for your own home (which is awfully decorated by the way)? It is a slap in the face to all the remarkably talented real designers that are on HGTV and deserve to be there. If I owned one of the homes that they remodeled and they did to my home what they do on the show, I would make them pay me! There is no design style, just a bold mishmash of black and outdated, trashy looking trends that died a long time ago. Chelsea, if you want to be a designer, stop doing the show immediately. Go get an education in architectural and interior design, get some real experience on doing some homes that would be attractive and THEN come back and try advising people. And HGTV, if you want to rectify how embarrassingly bad this show is, take it off the air and put on some designers that deserve to be there. At this point it is just embarrassing what you guys do. I'm naming the show "Down Home Drab"!

If I could give these cackling racist ignorant hens a zero I would. They need to be removed from the air PERMANENTLY! Jason Aldean's perfectly wonderful song standing up to crime and injustice, and supporting our community against the people these 4 bigots support, is in their opinion racist and promoting violence. And yet, she supports the violence from radical groups rioting, stealing, killing and injuring people, burning down buildings, as "supporting their community". It's "if I can't have everything MY way I will burn the whole country down". I used to love Whoopi's acting and comedy and be a huge fan, but not any more. Just because you don't like teaching what true history is, doesn't mean it should not be taught. All of you are a disgrace and should never be on TV again. The culture we need to cancel is the "hate culture" you promote.
