RP2 cannot be compared to Ready Player One, however it is beautiful in its own way. If one were to overlook the slight imperfections in the art of storytelling, particularly around the middle, one would find the book rather enjoyable. It is perhaps memorable, and certainly thought-provoking. The ending is both weird and awesome, and I certainly loved it. The last words of the novel are, well, profound, and I'll never forget them.
It's worth reading this book.
