Soulless and flat. It really seemed to me like it was written and filmed in a week .No memorable or likable characters. Was hoping for a little nostalgia and some jump scares but got none. was hoping for some reverence to the original movies and got none.Boring and very forgettable.The franchise deserved better writing.acting and directing. Everyone I saw it with were all a bit dissapointed and bored .. Go in with low expectations and you will like it more.Just like the new Star Wars movies. the magic and ambiance that the originals had is gone . Empty blatant attempts to make money were the motivating factor instead. Not love for the story or the characters. I dont think there will be any sequals and this writing and directing team don't deserve to continue the franchise if there are. Every movie after number 6 has the same crippling problem. No Donald Pleasance..In my opinion his character was as vital as Michael Myers and his absence strongly effects the spirit of the movies he was not in . Plus this Michael Myers did not capture the menacing . and eerie feeing that was the entire purpose I loved this character to begin with. Over all I feel dissappointed by this and know it could and should have been much better.

Went in with lowered expectations and it turned out to be so much better than I thought it would be. Loved seeing Stan Lee cameo because I didn’t know if he had passed away before the movie was finished filming. Gonna miss that. Gonna miss him. He WAS Marvel comics . Make sure you wait for both end credit scenes.Now I wish they would try to be more like the comic book and use this opportunity to bring the X men into the MCU . After all, in the comic book Rogue absorbs all of Captain Marvels powers and leaves Carol Danvers in a coma for quite some time. Kind of like the state the writers left the X men in with Dark Phoenix. I would love to see Wolverine again as well 👻

Gonna be completely honest.. I saw the name Quentin Tarantino and saw the Rotten Tomatoes score of 89%, I guess I went in with high expectations. Well, I spent 90% of this movie bored to death and waiting for something to happen. When , in the last 20 minutes of this 2 hour snooze fest, something did happen it was ridiculous hyper violent over the top and not worth the wait.. Wait for it to come out on cable, it’s not worth your money or your time.Yawn ..

I have been reading X men comics for 20 years and I think the writers of Dark Phoenix screenplay have never read even one. So many characters did and said things completely out of character. Also, the screen writers should have taken a tip from Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor Ragnorok and thrown a lot more humor into it. I also wish that they had given Quick Silver a lot more screen time because he was such a great character and his scenes were some of the best in the previous movies.No Wolverine, no Stan Lee, no end credit scenes. Also, with all the characters the screen writers had to choose from for Magnetos team mates, they use a mutant with the power to hurt you with his hair. Seriously? This movie could have been SO much better. Haven’t been so unsatisfied with a finale since the final episode of Game of Thrones 👎
