Compared to the original and best BBC version, I didn't not like this version at all. The acting is appalling. The entire cast is terrible esp Kieran knightly, they all have no substance, the costumes and interiors are equally bad. The weak forced, unbelievable fake acting, I couldn't wait for it to end.

A wonderful performance by all cast members, loved how it showed the true essence of African American Memphis music, esp hound dog by the original artist. I thought the transformation of both Butler and Hanks deserves praise. I thought it ended quickly for the last 2 years of his life and could easily have watched a further 30 mins. I'm not a huge Elvis fan, but do remember him, when I was a child in the 70s, his life was portrayed well, esp the beginning when he was young. Definitely recommend watching.

Halfway through this move, after 51 mins, nothing had happened. I checked the reviews as I couldn't be the only one who thinks it's boring. The daughter character is annoying. Overdone predictable storyline, and no chemistry between any of the characters. very disappointing. Shot in Australia, with misrepresentation of Bali. Costume design styling was terrible for Julia Robers, looking like mechanics overalls in every colour - and George's tuxedo, both of which would never be worn as it's too stinking hot in Bali.
