I'm a high schooler(tenth grade) who was sexually assaulted in 8th grade, and entered 9th grade very guilty for something I didn't do. Never in a million years, have I related more to a book, and never have I cried so hard over a book. This book is so raw and honest, and true about what a teen who's been raped/sexually assaulted goes through.
Like Melinda, in 9th grade, I lost every single friend I had, and became a recluse, never talking to anyone. And every time I saw HIM, it was a whirlwind of emotion that made me panic. This book hits so close to home in all the right ways.
Props to Laurie, for making me heal a little bit more. 10/10. A great read for survivors who can handle graphic details of rape.
