Atmospheric, gory, cosmic found footage horror that is enthusiasticly made on a small budget but ultimately becomes too much of a slog to satisfy.
The film takes about 45 minutes to really get going and then all it does is frustrate you with lengthy periods of night time footage with a tiny flash light. It did get interesting at one point towards the end. Like really weirdly interesting, but all it left was questions.
I think it is worth watching for the last 20 minutes, so maybe just start it 30 minutes in, trust me you won't miss any meaningful character development, and you will be much less frustrated at the end.
The found footage genre is far more miss than hit in my experience, so I don't know what made me fall for the high Rotten Tomatoes rating (~75%). Possibly I was hopeful for another gem like Rec or Lake Mungo. Two movies that I recommend you go for rather than this.
