Don't understand the hate for this movie. The whitewashing criticisms are definitely fair (Cecilia Reyes and Sunspot should be a lot darker skinned than they are), but overall it's a decent movie. It's the first major superhero movie to feature a gay relationship which is nice to see given how performative the subject is in a lot of blockbusters, the characters are all pretty well developed, writing is decent, it shows some elements that lead up to Logan, and it's overall a fun movie. Highly recommend it if you're an X Men fan, or even if you're just looking for an entertaining watch.

Pretty decent movie, a big step up from the Last Jedi. The movie is far from perfect (characters appear and disappear seemingly out of nowhere, the fan-service is rampant, the new planets aren't particularly interesting, a few minor plotlines go nowhere, and there a lot of missed opportunities for some characters) but the great interactions between Rey and Kylo Ren, fantastic soundtrack, and entertaining action scenes make for a thoroughly enjoyable film, and end this mediocre trilogy on a high note.
