I'll try to make this short, as not to reveal too much about my very intense loathing of the modern Niegreau. So if you identify as "Black" as a sociopolitical identity, as was intended by Kwame Ture and the Panthers, then you'll understand the movie and accept it for what it is. That being a very obvious satirical work of art which intends to reaffirm everything we already know about certain social dynamics in this society. You'll understand immediately why the Anglos will hate it without actually viewing the film or comprehending the topics discussed.
However, if you identify as "Black" based solely on race theory, a pseudoscience created by a few psychologically disturbed melanin deficient folk, and you don't like this film because it wasn't magical enough for you, then please go listen to Meet the Grahams time stamp 2:10. Y'all want magic instead of receiving the message? It wasn't for those of us who are constantly reading and researching so we don't end up disillusioned and morally bankrupt like you. This "Black trauma art," as y'all call it, is a mirror for those who refuse to see themselves... but y'all want magic? I really can't say what I want to say here so Imma head out.
P.S.
I only subtracted one star because I find this push for interracial dating in films geared toward Black folk to be way too obvious. The tragic mullato jumps through all of these hoops to be seen and accepted as "Black," only to breed his Blackness out of existence the first chance he gets? Who is writing these scripts and why are they trying to push this narrative that beige quadroons are the new Black. Then we just have to accept it and let their 12% Black offspring call us the N-word. Lol Hogswallop!
