I think we all must watch movies and in this case Horizon in very different ways based on the negative reviews. I didn't expect perfection when I began to watch and yet, was drawn in and about half hour in, felt like the film was capturing the reality of those times during the Civil War and of those travelling to the west based on flyers stating that it would be perfection and the name Mr. Pickering came up as being the one responsible for the flyers. I hope, in Part 2, we learn more about this Pickering character. So the film moved forward and the diversity of characters based on their positions and how they chose to behave was rich. I was amazed at how fast those 3 hours went and the speeded up ending was for a reason I think, with a man standing in the window of the printing shop where the flyers are flying off the printer and out the window it looks like it's set in a city. I am very much looking forward to the next chapter and the next...
