This is a story of transition, or more aptly, transcendence. The author had an internal drive from early in his youth, brought about by a father figure that he desperately wanted to please. As a result he accomplished a lot, but a life changing event caused him to reevaluate. This event is where the spiritual journey, and life inspection begins and the author uses his experience to impart what he learned. It is often allegorical, or at least metaphorical, but it is very interesting and I believe anyone looking to learn some of life’s tough lessons would enjoy this book. It is a quick read and well-constructed and written.
