Chris Blackmore

Firstly, I thought this film was much older than it is, it exudes an ‘old world’ feel. Never heard of either if the main leads ( in fact hardly any of the excellent cast to be honest), and certainly didn’t know the back story to it. Plucked it off the list as ‘something to watch’, and certainly very pleased I did. It shows graphically the issues of 60’s prejudice, but handled extremely well. Brilliant acting, great cast (if unknown to me!), beautifully filmed, and a superb sound track. A feel good film without being over the top. Superb, 10/10.

Couldn’t decide what to watch, so viewed this on a whim, well Bill Nighy and Olivia Cook I knew from other films so I thought it was worth a go. Very glad I did, a darkly interesting film set in a grimy part of London. Bill Nighy plays a very good role, ably assisted by Olivia Cook and the rest of the cast. Some interesting ’side plots’ along the way. I thought it was well written, nicely filmed and very atmospheric. Definitely worth a look in my opinion.
