The dilemma about NATO intervention in Ukraine is obvious. Sanctions may work in the long run, but people power will inevitably bring down a tyrant - particularly when the bodies pile up alarmingly. So continuing to arm Ukraine with state of art hardware is imperative. The west armed the Taliban after the Russian invasion which effectively led to ignominious Russian withdrawal. Yes, the West did resurrect the Taliban monster in Afghanistan, but the initial aim worked.
