I've been playing NHL since 99. I've always enjoyed the games play and advancement. When they came out with be a pro and you could play as the goalie I jumped at the opportunity as I've always loved goaling.
Now obviously when it came out it wasn't perfect everyone knows that. But I felt with NHL20 (specifically in be a pro) being goalie is just to difficult. Your team will always shoot the puck whether it is a low or high percentage shot. Your team will have close to 30 shots on goal a game while the other team only has 12 for the entire game.
I've found that the AI only seems to take 3 types of shots. One timers, wrap-arounds, or perfectly placed shots (Ex: top right/left or bottom right/left). This makes trying to save these goals near impossible. They need to incorporate more shots on goal and low percentage shots.
As it stands right now the only way to play goalie is to be in EASHL as players will typically shoot the puck at you every chance they get. (As a real hockey team typically would). Granted I know one timers and wrap around are a thing and you will save them.
But when that's all the AI does it becomes frustrating. Especially when your GAA ends up being 3, 4 or 5. This is absurd.
I realize the goaling from NHL19 was broken with the goalie just being able to sit in net. I'm glad the fixed that as it wasn't much of a challenge. Now, I believe they went to far in the opposite direction.
Sorry to rant and rave, I've just hit a breaking point and wanted to point out in what I believe is a major flaw in the game.
