Honestly? I’m very upset about this show. Changing Alinas origins to Shu Han completely change who she is as a person and her background. I wish it was more accurate to the book tbh. Also, Alina is so boring. You couldn’t have made her any less bland.

While I love when film studios try new things, studio Ghibli is a studio that NEEDS to stick with 2D animation. That’s what gives them char, the beautiful landscapes and lovely designs in moves like howls moving castle and spirited away is what makes them so popular. But with 3D animation, you really can’t do that. The storyline was mediocre at best and that plus the 3D animation made this movie feel too modern. Ghibli needs to stick with what they do best: 2D.

This movie is not for many, but unlike the abomination that is Pan, this movie provided a wonderful backstory into the lore of Peter Pan. A must watch for those who enjoy Lord of the Flies. This is NOT, I repeat NOT a kids movie. 14+ in my opinion. The characters, the costumes, the cinematography... everything is so wonderful. It’s a dark movie, but it’s also light in a way, like a yin-yang. It’s actually not slow paced as some say it is- if you really dig deep, watch the movie in its fullest, it’s an amazing piece of film. I’m surprised it didn’t get more recognition. When reading the original book of Peter Pan, like many old but classic tales (cinderella, Alice in wonderland etc.) it actually has some pretty dark themes to it. This movie takes an adult spin on the story, and it’s done perfectly. Take a movie like the lighthouse- it’s weird, creepy, and while it’s fame proceeds this film many found it a little too weird and twisted, same with Midsommar. This is a movie that provided a middle ground: a film that’s twisted but not in an unsettling way. The narrative, the lore, the story, everything twists and spins into a beautiful film that presents childhood in a fantastical yet realistic, eery yet joyful, light but dark way. Loved it.

By the end of the show, I was crying. I love how they didn’t pick stereotypical hot actors for the leads. Dash and Lily have an amazingly crafted story. Wonderful. Just wonderful.

Beautiful, captivating, and stunningly dark. I love this movie. The only downside is the cringeylast lines the main characters have.

One of the best horror movies. If you’re looking for a movie that is surprisingly not very graphic (in my opinion) but still scary (but not disturbing) this is perfect for you. The only part I found disturbing was when the bullies carved into bens stomach. Overall a great movie, love how it incorporates comedy into horror without it being cringy. Jack Dylan Grazer is phenomenal, Finn Wolfhard is amazing.

This terrified me without showing any blood or gore. One of the best psychological movies I’ve ever seen. The plot twist at the end is amazingly dark almost to the point of it being disturbing but the twisted end just adds to the depth of the movie. Amazing. Just amazing.

Great actors, beautiful choreography and great for a family movie night. This is a movie for all you music lovers out there. Good enough to be a broadway musical, the greatest showman will delight the young and the old with music, dance, and to remember to accept others just the way they are.

Although many people think the animation is pretty bad, the storyline is great, even if the animation is a little amateur, the designs of the characters are very beautiful. Great voice actors and music. I also don’t really like some of the backgrounds. They kinda just look like some default backgrounds or something, especially when they are in the town. I do really like the series, along with the characters, even if the animation is pretty terrible.
