Its pretty good, audio design is immaculate, if this is your 500th horror movie then this movie will offer you nothing new, but that does not subtract from the love and care that was put into it.

One of the most well written, well acted, and well directed series out there. You can tell its made with so much love and care, and they managed to even get the pacing right which is crazy considering its 2 seasons for 1 case only. if this series had 20 seasons I would watch it all, Replayability is terrible due to knowing spoilers but first time watch is a blast. 100% recommend, though its not an action flick, its very grounded and well thought out so it wont appeal to kids and teens. Its pretty much an adult only show... like 25+

It feels like the director is really interested in meeting a diversity quota! Sometimes we get lucky and he forgets the quota and that's when we get some story development, Yet the writing is so dull and boring... Why? oh but I get it now... the people who care about fulfilling quotas are very boring people and therefore their story ends up being very boring!

I think the world needs more silo and less monarch, this show is not bad... Its just that over the decades, epic CGI is no longer interesting for most people and a more grounded experience is just what the doctor ordered, I tried but it didn't connect with me.

I have no idea where the positivity is coming from, all the characters in this series are insufferable by design, It simply means we don't want to see any scene involving them... which is every single scene, and its a joy to see something bad happen to them which ruins the horror aspect entirely, I shed tears of joy when a monstrosity comes in to snuff a main character. Just because the bad writing for the characters is intentional does not mean the show is now good, bad writing is bad writing.

If you wish to adapt a novel, follow the story of said novel, how hard is it for you to do that, they managed to turn an amazing story into a lifeless soulless piece of entertainment that is meant to me consumed and then forgotten, I have never seen a show with less memorable locations and forgettable characters, having a cast of 20 main characters literally fighting over who gets to do what cool scene means we don't care about 18 of them. The only thing worse than a bad show is a show that should have been an easy win, step 1: copy novel, step 2: profit. that is it. how can you mess this up.

Every mystery series understands the limit of how many unanswered questions are allowed to exist at once, this one does not! you end up with 20+ unanswered questions which is ridiculous to the point where you lose track of them all, otherwise, acting is good, pacing is slow but acceptable, story however... is about ah... mysteryception "you dont need to know why anything happens just go along with it" gets annoying real fast.

Every time I watch a series I try to find flaws, where they made budget cuts, what looks too SGI vs what doesn't, one word to use for this series is "Perfect" I watched 300 million dollar movies with flawed SGI and unrealistic settings, this one feels like a real place it really does, great job 10/10. Story however is going towards the "male = BAD" route and if it keeps going like this season 2 will fail :( I hope not
