Trance is a superb movie. Christian evangelism is very subtly deployed as a metaphor for current politics of communal polarisation, obscurantism and corporate manipulation - politics of mob frenzy and mindless violence as if in trance. Portrays a middle class whose psychological wounds have reached pathological levels.
Superlative performance by Farath Fassil excelling even Joaquin Phoenix of Joker.
