It feels like a lifetime between the beginning of the book and the end of it. I have really enjoyed the historical element and the insight it gives into the dust bowl era. I think this is a great book, emotionally riveting, there is despair, hope, love, justice and triumph within the pages. I can't wait to read more of Hannah's work.
I can't work out why people didn't enjoy the book, the story is tragic for the most part, but it's based on Truth and the real experience people had during this time. I love that.
