I went in blind (like I always do) and was extremely surprised to see Chris Hemsworth in a negative role. It was equal parts creepy and unsettling. I enjoyed this side of Chris's acting because he comes off as a cool Chad like character but the more you learn about him, the more American Psycho he gets. Not all the way of course. On a scale of 0 to American Psycho, Chris achieves a 6.
Miles Teller has been a personal favorite of mine, so I have nothing but love for him. I love the work he put in his physique, I mean the dude from Whiplash is long gone and has been replaced with this Heartthrob. Love his acting!
The premise of the movie is pretty interesting. It made me think about the rest of the universe and how the smaller things operate. Are the drugs available to the public? If yes, how do they operate? Also, I understand the need to place it closer to the spine but a better way to for the drugs to be made for public consumption would be the arm or something more accessible with our hands. The device would connect with the spine nonetheless, but not directly.
All in all, a good one time watch.
