Very few times one watches a movie and marvels at the screenplay and a story line that's not clichéd. Where one is shown as inferior just to show other as right. Hi Nana proved it wrong. Subtle, engaging, emotional without appearing outrageous and making people look stupid. The characterization of the lady who has her weak moments due to a troubled past is portrayed so well. Nani steals the show with a stirring portrayal of father who lost everything and yet lives on gracefully and with his head high. This is a slap on the face of people who justify violence and violence as an outcome of emotional stress or burden.

We are fortunate to be in an era where such films with brilliant content, string narrative and compelling performances are still Lmade. Appreciation of '12th Fail' augurs well for cine watchers who look for motivation and inspiration and not mindlessness however well packaged. 12th Fail is a testimony to the fact that good intention and narrative will always result in a good output.
