Soooo glad BK~99 got picked up by another network (NBC). I don't think there is a single episode that didn't make me laugh. In fact, there were many an episode that had me laughing so hard, I was literally crying. From Det. Jake Peralta's shenanigans, hysterical one liners, and his "throw caution to the wind" style of policing to Capt. Raymond Holt's straight~laced by the book methods, razor sharp wit and "drier than the Sahara" sense of humor. The rest of the cast is rounded out by Jake's wife, super smart suck up and do~gooder/goody two~shoes Det. Amy Santiago, tough and brooding Det. Rosa Diaz, overly clingy/creepy, Jake worshipping Det. Charles Boyle and finally there's the talks about himself in 3rd person, strong, tough (but is really just a sensitive, emotional teddy bear) Sgt. Terry Jeffords. I really don't even understand why FOX cancelled it in the first place, because it's absolutely hilarious. Then again, FOX is known for cancelling great shows, i.e. Family Guy, Firefly, Futurama, Arrested Development, Undeclared, The Tick...I could go on and on. FOX at least saw the error of their ways and brought back Family Guy, and some shows got picked up by other networks (Futurama and Arrested Development), but others like Firefly and The Tick, were not so lucky. I can't wait until the new season starts in January. If you haven't watched yet, I suggest you binge Brooklyn 99...NOW! Seriously, stop reading my post and go watch! 😉
