Too much of the Queen. Too much of Lady Danbury. And, way too much sex. The book is way better than this first season of Bridgertons. They need to tone this thing down a little bit. It might have been better if the show had not made ANY mention of the black people in the show at all. Just let them act. Don't try to rewrite history in such a silly way. I loved the books, though I tended to skim over the sex. To do that in this series, you will wear out a button hitting that 10 second forward on the screen. This had the chance to be a truly great series. What it is turning out to be is soft porn, silly plot lines, and really stupid writing. Not well done at all Shonda Rhymes. And, shame on you Julia Quinn for letting her ruin your work this way.

I loved this show from the first episode to the last. The only thing that I didn't like was the part about her taking handfuls of pills. That was a bit too much. I am not sure how they plan on making another season as this seemed to be a self contained story that ended. But, someone will probably make another season and it will be a dud. Other than that, I have been extolling the virtues of this series since I watched it. The actors are great. The story is great. The scenery and backgrounds are great. If you have not seen it, give it a shot. I daresay you will NOT be disappointed.
