I am a fan of any work Tim Burton puts out there so my review could be biased, and having seen some reviews before I watched Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, I was concerned. My concerns were quickly wiped away as soon as the nostalgia of the original Beetlejuice started. This film was incredible - if you are a fan, you will appreciate the nods to the original and the whacky mind that is Tim, but all of that aside - the story was really quite moving, and characters stories were explored in more depth which gave them all a heart, including Beetlejuice himself, who would have thought? .. I was in awe throughout the film and I feel like I blinked and it was over. It ticked all of the boxes I would hope a sequel would. Fantastic (ps take tissues! 😭)
